Dennis R. Jones, a native of Fairmont, WV, received a BSEE from WVU in 1958. While at WVU he was co-captain of the football team and upon graduation he was designated a Distinguished Military Graduate and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

In the Army he was a Field Artillery Officer and active duty assignment included Platoon Leader and Operations Control Officer in Germany. Afterwards he spent five years in the Army National Guard in West Virginia and transferred to the Army Reserves in 1968. In 1985 he received his second star as Major General in the Reserves and commanded the 125th Reserve Command. He was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, as well as several other decorations. Completing more than thirty-five years of combined active and reserve duty, MG Jones joined the retired reserve in November 1991.

After 20 years experience in the aluminum industry, he joined Norandal USA in 1985 as plant manager of its facility in Scottsboro, Alabama. His present position is Vice President of Operations - Sheet Products. Norandal manufactures aluminum sheet and foil products and has plants located in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee, as well as Alabama.
