After graduating from WVU in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Ball went to work with the General Electric Company as a sales engineer. He completed an MBA in Marketing in the evening program at Rutgers University in 1970. Moving through a succession of assignments with ever-increasing responsibilities, Mr. Ball became a General Manager in 1981 overseeing the International Contractor Equipment Department.
In 1985, he was recruited to become President-Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company. He subsequently joined an investment banking group to do leveraged buyouts of under-performing industrial businesses. Functioning in many roles including that of a consultant, Mr. Ball has financial interests in several companies in a variety of businesses.
Married to the former Jacqueline Lee Gwynn ('64), Mr. Ball and his wife have two grown children, Jay and Jamie.
Having retired from active involvement in business operations, Mr. Ball is still associated with two Private Equity Companies and serves on the Board of Directors of several businesses.
