Yadin B. David is Principal, Biomedical Engineering Consultants, LLC, in Houston, TX, where he has served since 2008. Previous positions include directing and teaching biomedical engineering programs in hospitals in Texas, Mexico, China and West Virginia. In West Virginia, he served as Research Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology, and Director, Biomedical Engineering, at the University Hospital from 1976-1982. After that, he served as Director, Biomedical Engineering, at the Texas Medical Center from 1982-2008. His education at WVU included a BSEE in 1974, a MSEE (biomedical) in 1975, and a D.Ed. (ed psych) in 1983. He holds adjunct appointment at the University of Texas School of Public Health. He is a biomedical engineering advisor and consultant to the US Food and Drug Administration, the World Health Organization, and Start-up medical product companies. He received several recognitions including the FDA special commissioner's award for protecting public safety. 

Dr. David was one of the founders and served as the first president of the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE), the Center for Telemedicine and eHealth Law (CTeL) and the not-for-profit Healthcare Technology Foundation (HTF). 

Dr. David has more than 300 presentations, journal publications and books in the areas of electrical and biomedical safety, technology management, clinical engineering and TeleHealth. He serves the entire biomedical engineering community around the world, advancing the practice of biomedical engineering.
